VISION STATEMENT: Inspire and enrich membership through value added events.
MISSION STATEMENT: Expand and enhance the visibility and awareness of ASID and our membership
GOAL A: To support the membership in their marketing efforts.
Objective 1: Develop a media supported plan to help our members promote their businesses
Strategy 1.1 Produce events specifically designed for publicity and to provide the public with relevant knowledge.
Tactic 1.1 1 Explore & produce a project to showcase all design elements, while including all categories of membership.

Tactic 6.1 3 Membership Committee to hold new member orientation meetings periodically to answer questions, provide them with committee opportunities & roundtable information
Tactic 6.1 4 Recognize new members (designers & IP) and advancing members (student to Allied and Allied to professionals) at the monthly meetings
Tactic 6.1 5 Maintain the tradition of the annual New Member Tea by inviting members who joined in the past 3 years

Objective 8 Provide a variety of professional education opportunities critical for advancement to and maintenance of professional membership

Objective 12 Increase visibility of IP members
Tactic 12.1 IP rep to chair IP Steering Committee to develop Sponsorship and Program hosting packages to increase IP member visibility at all chapter functions. All levels of participation are to be investigated
Tactic 12.2 Offer DAG sponsors an advertising sign for Dean’s background
Tactic 12.4 IP committee to co-ordinate “Lunch and Learn” sessions at interested IP showrooms for informal small group learning opportunities
Tactic 12.5 Include a descriptive tag line in the directory for each IP members to describe their services or products

Tactic 12.8 Hold monthly meetings at IP members’ establishments
Tactic 12.9 Provide means to highlight IPs in the chapter Design Competition. Publish winning designs with “IP Inside” in monthly newsflash quarterly newsletter and website
Tactic 12.10 Consider creating a bulleting board on the website for members to contact IP members with questions and requests
Tactic 12.11 Explore opportunities for IP members to advertise on chaper website
Tactic 12.12 Encourage members to network and conduct business with IPs
GOAL E: Support student members as our Chapter’s future
Objective 13 Encourage new Student memberships
Strategy 13.1 Encourage new student members by offering incentives, i.e. highly discounted membership fees transitioning from student to Allied
Tactic 13.1 1 Encourage students to work the check-in table at all meetings to allow them the opportunity to meet the designers
Tactic 13.1 2 Offer free admission ‘one-time’ only for non-ASID members; non-member fees apply to attend subsequent events
Tactic 13.1 3 Maintan a policy of no admission fee to monthly networking events for ASID Student Chaper members.
Strategy 13.2 Board member (could be on a rotating basis) attend local ASID Chapter meetings and Interior Design club meetings when appropriate
Tactic 13.2 1 While at above events, introduce ASID CHAPTER EVENTS, etc.

Tactic 18.1 3 Create a volunteer databases to be maintained by the Chaper Administrator
Tactic 18.1 4 Maintain a set of binders for board members to use, outlining office procedures responsibilities, major chapter events and all board members job descriptions responsibilities, Event binders are to be completed with budgets, timelines and volunteer requirements
Objective 19 Maintain a Chapter office that supports its membership and conveys professionalism
Strategy 19.1 Maintain a part-time administrator
Tactic 19.1 2 Administrator to work 20 hours per week, or as defined in work plan
Tactic 19.1 Office administrator to submit timesheets & report directly to the President & PE
