Jan Gardner & Associates an ASID Member, has been based on the Monterey Peninsula for over thirty years designing quality residential and select hospitality with projects from coast to coast. When people talk of the luxurious life style on the Monterey Peninsula, they must inevitably bring up the Lodge at Pebble Beach and the 5 Star rated Quail Lodge. These are but two highlights of the firm's portfolio.
Gardner runs the company in conjunction with her daughter Julie Gardner, and Office Manager Nadine Dubrin. Together the mother and daughter team continue to provide superior quality interiors producing extraordinary design in many different styles from traditional to contemporary. Jan Gardner & Associates prefer styles of lasting quality, good fabrics, well built furniture, excellent lighting along with unique accessories. Most of the buying is done in San Francisco but occasional trips to Los Angeles, New York & Europe are not uncommon.

The partnership excels in discovering new tradesmen, craftsmen and artisan to perfect the final project. Jan, Julie offer a personal & imaginative service with a friendly, low profile approach. They will meet your design challenge with a sense of humor and decided flair.

Services Offered

Jan Gardner and her partner Julie Gardner specialize in high end residential interiors and small boutique hotels. Services include space planning, scaled renderings, custom furnishings, lighting layouts, fine fabrics, rug purchasing, antique resourcing and art and accessories placement.

Our projects range from our local Carmel, Carmel Valley and Pebble Beach areas to up the coast Palo Alto, Woodside, San Francisco. Down the coast Los Angeles, Palm Desert and La Jolla.  Projects outside CA include Incline Village, NV , Las Vegas NV, Bethesda MD, Washington DC , and Maui Hawaii and Paris France.

Residences have ranged in size from 2000 sq. Ft. Up to 12,000 sq. Ft. Jan has over 30 years in the design industry and her partner Julie has 14 years.
