Gina Viscusi Elson has been designing and overseeing the construction of elegant and distinguished homes since she graduated with a BFA in Interior Architecture and Design from the San Francisco Academy of Art in 1992. She began her career at Design Showcase and in 1994 started Viscusi Elson Interior Design. Her main office was based in Napa, California before moving to Los Altos to be more centrally located to serve her clientele. She also opened the first Rutt Cabinetry showroom in Marin, before becoming a consultant to Rutt of Los Altos in 1995 and finally taking ownership in 2002. She appreciates the quality craftsmanship of Rutt Handcrafted Cabinetry as well as the company’s green business practices. Her eye for fine details and her extensive knowledge in interior architecture and the building process have made her a popular choice amongst homeowners, architects, and builders everywhere including Atherton, Pebble Beach, Los Altos, Los Gatos, Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley, Napa, Palm Desert, Nantucket and Hawaii. Known in the industry for her design excellence, her firm has won numerous awards from ASID, NKBA and NARI. She lectures on a variety of design topics and hosts several fun and informative design events in her showroom throughout the year.

Furnishings and Accessories – The Finishing Touches
For furnishings, we select the perfect complement of pieces—choosing fabrics and coordinating the ordering, expediting, delivery and installation. We can develop original designs to fit your particular needs. When it comes to accessories, we are masters at pulling a mix of interesting objets d’art together for just the right aesthetic appeal. We combine your own precious collections with pieces we find everywhere—antique stores, flea markets, showrooms—to create spaces that visually communicate something special about you.
Art Consultation
It is our philosophy that everyone can afford and have beautiful artwork. We are always searching for and finding new artists to introduce to our clients. We work with existing art collections, specifying how they should be arranged, where they should be hung, as well as introduce new pieces. For those just beginning, we assist with the selection of art that will enhance and bring life to their interiors.
